Event Details

Houses for Warriors is rallying volunteers in the Denver area to help a local disabled veteran in need. We are asking community-minded volunteers, labor teams, skilled tradesmen and women, and others to join Houses for Warriors and its sponsors at the home of disabled veteran Del Stracener from 7AM to 10PM from February 21-23 for a weekend of residential remediation.

Stracener’s home is in desperate need of major repairs. The Army veteran is confined to a wheelchair after being diagnosed with a rare form of spinal cancer and is unable to make the repairs his home desperately needs. There is a major roofing leak and substantial plumbing issues; additionally, the house needs mold remediation along with new floors, siding, drywall, plumbing, and a kitchen remodel to be fully wheelchair accessible.

Houses for Warriors along with our team of volunteers, partners and sponsors are going to rehabilitate Del’s home and remove the barriers that keep him from enjoying his family and living a barrier free life.

February 21 (Friday) 7:00 am - March 1 (Sunday) 7:00 pm MST
